2. Golf Scorecard Data

• What We Collect: Player names, golf scores, course information, and game dates
• Storage: This data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to your personal iCloud account
• Server Storage: We do not store your personal scorecard data on our servers

3. Course Request Information

• What We Collect: When you request a new golf course to be added, we collect:
  • Course name
  • City and state
  • Optional notes
  • Your location (only if you specifically choose to include it)
• Purpose: To add new golf courses to our database for all users
• Storage: This information is stored on our servers to process your request

4. Device and Technical Information

• Authentication Data: We generate device-specific authentication tokens to secure API communications
• Usage Data: Basic app functionality data to ensure proper operation
• Error Logs: Technical information to help us improve the app

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide you with nearby golf course recommendations
• Allow you to track and save your golf scores
• Process requests for new golf courses
• Improve app functionality and user experience
• Ensure secure communication between the app and our servers

Local Storage

• Your golf scorecards are stored locally on your device
• You can optionally sync scorecards to your personal iCloud account
• Course request form data is temporarily stored locally for up to 24 hours for your convenience

Server Storage

• We store course information and course requests on secure servers
• We use industry-standard security measures to protect data
• We do not store your personal scorecard data on our servers

Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request information about what data we have about you
• Correct: Update any incorrect information
• Delete: Request deletion of your data from our servers
• Control Location: Enable or disable location services at any time through your device settings
• Control iCloud Sync: Enable or disable iCloud synchronization within the app

Location Services

• Location access is optional and only requested when you use location-based features
• You can disable location services at any time in your device settings
• The app will continue to function without location access, but you won't be able to find nearby courses

Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

Third-Party Services

Our app may use third-party services:

• Apple iCloud: For optional scorecard synchronization (governed by Apple's Privacy Policy)
• Apple CoreLocation: For location services (governed by Apple's Privacy Policy)

Data Retention

• Scorecard Data: Stored indefinitely on your device and iCloud (if enabled) until you delete it
• Course Requests: Retained as long as necessary to process the request and add courses to our database
• Cached Course Data: Stored temporarily on your device for offline access
• Authentication Tokens: Expire after 1 hour and are automatically renewed

International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you are accessing the app from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
