Saved rounds

Player names, scores, tees, course details and round dates are stored on your device. When iCloud is available, rounds can sync through your private Apple CloudKit database. The companion watch app shares active-round data with the phone. Scorecard images are generated on your device; sharing sends them to the app or recipient you choose.

Course searches, requests and location

Course searches contact our course service with the search text. With location permission, the app uses coordinates for nearby courses, maps, weather and course discovery. Without GPS, a search may use a broad location estimate based on your time zone. Requests include ordinary network information such as IP addresses and may appear in service logs.

When you request a course, the service receives the course name, city, region, optional notes and any location you choose to include. These details can be retained to process the request and add course information to the public database. While scoring with location enabled, the app can record hole locations and send those coordinates to our course service when you finish a round to improve course maps. Course weather is provided by Apple WeatherKit.

Notifications

The app registers a device push token and technical details, including app and OS version, time zone and locale, with the notification service. Course-request notification subscriptions can include the requested course and location. You can allow or disable visible notifications in iOS Settings.

Analytics and crash reports

Golfmoji uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app use and diagnose problems. These services receive app-instance identifiers, device and OS details, usage events such as screens and round activity, approximate location derived from network information, and crash or error diagnostics. Usage events may include course identifiers and counts, but this version does not attach precise GPS coordinates to analytics events. External services

Apple handles iCloud, maps, location and weather under its privacy practices. Course websites and their icons may load from third-party websites, which receive standard request information. Opening a website or sharing through another app is subject to that service's privacy practices. The app does not show advertising or sell your data.

Your choices and deletion

Location and notification permissions can be changed in iOS Settings. Search by course name works without location permission. You can delete saved rounds in the app; deletions can sync through iCloud. Exported images, shared copies and backups must be removed separately. For questions about retained course requests, notification subscriptions or other server data, contact us. We retain service data as needed to provide course information, operate notifications and diagnose problems.
